Green and Floral Round Tray Makeover

  This round tray has been completely reimagined. Its original shabby chic white finish has been updated to a rich dark green, and a delicate floral rice paper adds a touch of elegance. A final layer of dark wax deepens the colour and accentuates the details, giving it a beautifully aged, vintage feel.

Paper Towel Makeover Number 3! Easy Update

 


Talk about a second act! This classic wooden paper towel holder was originally a "reloved" piece I did for my daughter, with first relove in yellow then a second update in sophisticated navy. After serving its time, it returned to my studio for a total transformation #3. Ditching the navy shade, I dipped it into a vibrant, bold teal—a color chosen specifically to give it that irresistible pop and pizzazz. It's now a standalone statement piece, ready to brighten up its next kitchen.


Here is the paper towel back for a yet another new look after years of the navy update.


After a good damp wipe down and light scuff sand with a sanding sponge, the pretty teal paint color mirage from the Dixie Belle silk mineral paint line was brushed on using a small flat synthetic brush.



After the first coat was dry, the steps were repeated. Light sand with sanding sponge to keep the surface smooth and buttery, another coat of teal paint with the brush and it is complete. 

Such an easy way to update any kitchen piece to a new color.

This silk mineral paint has a built in primer and top coat making it the perfect one step paint.
