Green and Floral Round Tray Makeover

This round tray has been completely reimagined. Its original shabby chic white finish has been updated to a rich dark green, and a delicate floral rice paper adds a touch of elegance. A final layer of dark wax deepens the colour and accentuates the details, giving it a beautifully aged, vintage feel.

Antique Bookcase Cabinet in Coal Black

After finishing an antique hutch and buffet in coal black, the customer brought her grandma's bookcase/cabinet to be reloved in the same color. It is actually stained a deep brown so the update will be fairly easy.

Before cleaning it I used my handy razor to remove drips from a past stain job then carried on with a good wipe down with cleaning spray and soft cloth.

Repairs came next, the loose trim along the bottom was glued and clamped and the backing tacked in a few spots with the brad nailer.

Fusion Mineral Paint in coal black was applied with a zibra angle brush for a nice smooth application

To refresh the interior, I applied Fusion Mineral Paint's clear wax.

The edges were lightly distressed and flat surfaces smoothed with a sanding sponge. The color was enriched with Fusion's black wax.

The customer is getting new knobs to go with the hutch/buffet and will send an updated photo.
