Vintage High Chair in Natural Wood and Warm White

I love giving old pieces new life. This vintage wooden high chair was my latest makeover project. I am loving the end look, how about you? This solid wood cutie was found by my furniture scouting sister. I messaged the seller sight unseen I would take it. My Mom picked it up and delivered to my door. THANKS family for all your help!

Dining Set in Natural Stain and Fusion Soapstone

I was asked to relove a family heirloom dining set. The set belonged to the customers grandma originally who picked it out in Pennsylvania and had it shipped up to Canada. The dining set eventually moved to a daughters home who had 7 children, these siblings shared many memories around this solid maple hand crafted dining table and one of them was the lucky one to get the set passed onto them.

it goes from this cute square to 8 1/2 feet long

The table was natural maple with hand painted designs on the corner to go with the dark painted chairs manufactured in Pennsylvania as well. They had a large floral design on the seat back.

wanting to keep just a subtle memory I sanded it down to a ghost shadow

Sanding was not enough, stripper was needed and a few coats for the table top, leaves and the chair seats

then hours of sanding from 80 - 120 - 220 grit sand paper

With a tack cloth it was wiped well and the Homestead House's new stain and finishing oil all in one in natural application was started. I gave it 4 coats of this all in one, each sponge sanded after a good 12 hour dry time between coats. It has a buttery smooth finish that really enhanced the beautiful maple grain.

The customer chose grey for the chairs and table base to go with your home décor. We decided on Fusion Mineral Paint in soapstone. Soapstone is a dark grey with a hint of blue in some lighting.

For added durability I put a couple coats of Fusion Mineral paint's tough coat which also adds a nice sheen and makes wiping the chairs and base super easy.

just check out this super sized table
to the perfect compact size with many options in between
