This round tray has been completely reimagined. Its original shabby chic white finish has been updated to a rich dark green, and a delicate floral rice paper adds a touch of elegance. A final layer of dark wax deepens the colour and accentuates the details, giving it a beautifully aged, vintage feel.

Everything looks prettier in pink don't you think?

This cute little wooden jewelry box needed some personality. First step, clean all surfaces well. Bring on the Fusion Mineral Paint in the lovely English rose.

It is such a soft petal pink. This is one coat. In order not to sand thru the original finish it is easiest to wet distress the edges soon after painting after each coat to let the original dark stain peek thru.

Two coats were the coverage needed and once dry all was lightly sanded with Fusion MineralPaint's ageing wax added to the edges to give the antiqued look.

Now to finish the glass. I went with my favorite faux mercury glass look (using vinegar & spray paint) that blends so well with the antiqued vintage look.
