This large frame was custom created for a good friends daughter's bridal shower. It was researched she is decorating with greys and blues.
This solid carved wood artist frame was the perfect frame for the project.
Closeup of the wet distressing
then wiped back to leave the
liberty blue in the nooks and crannies. The back and inside edge of the frame was painted liberty blue as well as once it hangs you can see the inside edge thru the mesh.
Another coat of
little lamb was applied as I was not a fan of so much distressing and more blue added in crevices with a small detailing brush where needed.
Then
to enhance the details Daddy Vans black wax was hand rubbed all over.
Wire mesh was the next step; it was cut to fit with one row on all sides bent up to fit in.
This part of the job can incur an injury or two. This part of the job is tedious taking almost 2 hours to bend and crimp and power staple to the 45 degree edge of the frame so staples do not to pop thru the front edge but rather go into the thick frame portion.
The artist frame had a wire hanger that was put back on and this beauty was ready to be presented to the future bride.
Lots of photos, or memos (the mesh is magnetic) can be proudly displayed for years to come in this one of a kind frame.
I love these
mini clothes pins and included some in the gift but magnets can be used as well to display photos. It also doubles as a jewelry holder or sunglasses catch all too.
