This freshly refinished metal bar cart is ready to roll into its next home! It features a removable handled tray with a muted, soft floral design—subtle and sweet.
The wooden lower shelf offers both style and function, with six divided sections for bottle storage—perfect for your favorite beverages or display items.
A versatile piece that’s equally at home serving snacks and drinks on the deck, acting as a chic indoor bar cart, or even showcasing plants and décor.
Functional and fabulous—ready when you are!
It measures 29" W X 16"D X 26"H outside measurements. It does not have wheels but could be retrofitted to add.
This is how I got the bar cart, the wood tray and lower shelf had the finish sanded off, the wheels were missing and the handle was zip tied onto the frame but I knew it could be a fun makeover.

It was flipped over and the lower shelf unscrewed from the frame.
Both wood pieces were wiped clean with a damp cloth.
This is the first coat on and after it dried a second coat was painted on for a smooth solid finish.
My handy husband repaired the cart handle welding on a new screw which was then secured with a nut on the inside of the frame
I wanted a bit of whimsy on the tray bottom and decided on this pretty floral "timeless charm" rice decoupage paper
I use a metal ruler and olfa knife to cut the paper to size. This whole sheet almost fit perfect making for very little waste as you can see in right photo.
on the tray surface
TIP - lightly mist the paper with water using a fine mist spray bottle, this helps with the paper adhesion.
Lay the paper in place where you want it then apply another coat of the Gator Hide clear coat with the brush over top making sure the entire surface is covered.
One thing to remember with rice paper, the color under it will greatly impact the colors in the paper. The black base gives this floral paper a very subtle muted look. If you wanted it to stay brighter and truer to the original paper, a white base is best.
The tray had another coat of Gator Hide brushed on when first coat was dry and it was complete.
Moving on to the metal frame, it was taken outside ready to
spray paint black.
I flipped it upside down on the cardboard box to be sure to get the underside
spray painted first as to not miss any areas.
Then it was flipped back upright and multiple light coats of we applied then left to dry well.
The wooden lower shelf was screwed back in place then the tray set in its spot.
Great for a deck party bar set up
