Antique Fold Down Sides Accent Table Restore

  This stunning antique drop leaf table is both functional and full of charm, the fold-down edges that make it ideal for smaller spaces while providing extra surface area when needed. Measuring 30”W x 22”D x 24”H, it’s the perfect versatile piece. The top has been beautifully refinished in a rich walnut stain, complemented by a warm white milk-painted base. Light distressing and dark wax enhance its vintage appeal, preserving its timeless character. A lined drawer, finished with elegant damask paper, adds a lovely touch of detail and practicality. Malachite Jewelry Box


Isn't this a gorgeous jewelry box? The dark carved front just pops with this amazing malachite color from Jolie Paint.


This new jewelry box is lined with a lovely cream lining with great storage including a divided area and ring display and a bonus mirror.


I chose the color malachite from Jolie Paint nestled in this recently delivered parcel.


You can check out some of the other colors in this box used on these projects; navy on this sweet sofa table and verdigris used on this adorable chair and malachite on this cute accent chair.


Jolie Paint's malachite, in just a tester size was perfect. Two coats were applied in total (1 coat shown above and 2 below) then the jewelry box was wet distressed to reveal the lovely dark original finish and carved details.



 To seal the paint I applied Jolie's clear wax.

When the clear wax was dry, I added Fusion Mineral Paint's black and ageing waxes to add a bit more dimension.
