Modernized Pine Dresser in Gray

If you're a fan of clear coat pine, this makeover might not be your cup of tea. But for those who love breathing new life into old furniture, I hope this tutorial sparks some inspiration! The original clear pine finish has aged over the years, and the tall dresser has endured its fair share of wear and tear. With a little care, attention, and a fresh new color, it now serves a new purpose with renewed charm.

Classic Black Dining Chairs

Classic black chairs can complement nearly any dining room color scheme, don’t you think? This solid wood pair is a perfect addition to any home. While I typically hand-paint my chairs, these ones were given a sleek update with a spray gun.

These two chairs definitely needed a makeover. They look like they could use a few repairs as well.

As with all pieces I first start with a good clean. white lightning cleaner now comes in a premixed spray bottle which worked great for these spindles. Spray liberally, scrub with a brush and rinse well. Wipe with a towel and let dry.

The gouges along the top edge of the chairs were filled with DAP wood pro.

Many spots were filled and left to dry well.

The mouse head on my Festool rotex 90 sander is perfect for chairs getting into tight spaces easily

These 2 were painted at the same time as 4 pressed back dining chairs as well. The steps in that tutorial were the exact same steps this pair was painted. There are videos and further details there showing how they were primed with grey Dixie Belle Bonding Boss then painted with Caviar Dixie Belle Paint  sealed with multiple coats of satin clear coat  using the Wagner Flexio 500 paint sprayer
