DIY Furniture Flip: Refinished Solid Maple Dresser in Classic White

In this tutorial, I’m sharing how I completely transformed a   solid maple, Canadian-made dresser   into a fresh, modern piece that’s both timeless and functional. Originally a tired chest of drawers, this sturdy maple beauty got a full makeover — from sanding and priming to a   crisp classic white finish   and   new stainless steel bar and knob hardware . The result? A clean, elegant dresser with   five easy-glide drawers   that looks right at home in any bedroom, guest room, or entryway. Removing Graffiti and Restoring Wooden Frame Art Easel


This artist easel just needed a good power sand and rehydration of the wood and it is ready to get creative once again.



I recognized the name of a good customers daughter once I had a good look at the easel so shared with her I now had her easel. It was also her nephew too who left his mark.


It was given a good power sand with my Festool orbital sander on all the frame surfaces.


Ah, much better


The wood was rehydrated with Fusion furniture wax. It absorbs into the wood easily then the excess wiped back leaving a soft smooth finish.


and just that easily it is back looking good as new, ready to let the little ones create.


This side is a dry erase board and magnetic board


With the other side a chalkboard. There is also a wooden dowel that holds paper to go over the frame for painting and other crafts.

It was the perfect birthday gift for my granddaughter paired with a roll of paper, paints, pots, brushes, magnetic letters and a paint smock.
