Antique Fold Down Sides Accent Table Restore

This stunning antique drop leaf table is both functional and full of charm, the fold-down edges that make it ideal for smaller spaces while providing extra surface area when needed. Measuring 30”W x 22”D x 24”H, it’s the perfect versatile piece. The top has been beautifully refinished in a rich walnut stain, complemented by a warm white milk-painted base. Light distressing and dark wax enhance its vintage appeal, preserving its timeless character. A lined drawer, finished with elegant damask paper, adds a lovely touch of detail and practicality. Let me share how I achieved this updated look. before

Green Accent Table

My adore these little accent tables with the clean lines. They are the perfect canvas for creating a one-of-a-kind look on. This is my chance to create something unique. I used a color that was newly released called, briar patch, for a fresh new vibe. The original table was cherry-stained, which was lovely, but this new color was just too lovely to ignore. Now, this beauty is available for you, my friends! Go ahead, and grab your chance.

As always, start with a good cleaning. I used the pre mixed white lightning cleaner spray version. Spray, wipe well, wipe again with a rinsed clean water cloth.

I chose another newly released Dixie Belle Paint color called briar patch. I like to flip tables over and do the under edges first as well it makes the legs easier to paint.

I applied this pretty green paint with a flat medium synthetic brush. It is the perfect size to cover the legs, edges and even the flat surfaces easily.

One coat covered amazingly but I brushed on a second coat once the first was dry for a perfect coverage. In between coats I lightly sand with a 220 grit sanding sponge to keep the smoothest buttery surface.

For additional durability I applied 2 coats of satin clear coat using my favorite angled mini synthetic brush.

To add a bit of whimsy I took the drawer apart and cut a piece of distressed damask rice decoupage paper.

Once it was cut to size I chose to affix it in place with spray adhesive so it could be easily changed out if the buyer chose to.

It is the perfect addition in my opinion.
