Modernized Pine Dresser in Gray

If you're a fan of clear coat pine, this makeover might not be your cup of tea. But for those who love breathing new life into old furniture, I hope this tutorial sparks some inspiration! The original clear pine finish has aged over the years, and the tall dresser has endured its fair share of wear and tear. With a little care, attention, and a fresh new color, it now serves a new purpose with renewed charm.

Salt and Pepper sets in fun colors

I love wooden salt and pepper sets, big and small. They are a fantastic way to add color and fun to your kitchen and dining rooms. Here is a few I recently painted up to restock.

see all sizes but all solid wood

step one.. scrub up all well to remove and oil or other things that may impede paint adhesion
then paint

This large 14"+ french engraved grinder was painted Old Fashioned Milk Paint in pitch black, sponge sanded and distressed then sealed with 2 coats of  Fusion's hemp oil

This sweet little chubby with silver hardware was painted 2 coats of
Fusion Mineral Paint in the fun color azure. Fusion has a built in top coat and just required a light sponge sanding to smooth the paint to a buttery finish.

This smooth dark wood beauty was painted 2 coats of my most popular S&P color to date: American Paint Company's Fireworks red. After a light sponge sanding the paint was sealed with APC clear wax then dark waxed details which also enriches the red color using my favorite Fusion Mineral Paint's ageing wax .

The 12" Baribocraft set was done in the same steps

And for this last set I chose American Paint Co in beach glass. Again 2 coats went on with APC clear wax sealing them up and Fusion Mineral Paint's ageing wax last for the added age and detailing.
