Soft Neutral Shades Media Cabinet

Fresh Start for a Veneer Classic This manufactured media cabinet—with its once orange-tinged wood veneer—has been completely refreshed in a soft, neutral taupe called   French Villa . Inside the glass-front doors, the adjustable shelf pops in   Truffle , a beautifully rich and earthy shade from a newly released palette. The warm, complementary colors work together to give this piece a stylish, modern update and a brand new lease on life.

Farmhouse Grey Jewelry Box

LOVE these solid wood jewelry chest made by Jasco. Seeing they were made in the 80's many have seen some wear and tear. Nothing a bit of paint can't fix right?

The deep pink interior is in excellent condition and such a bold punch of color surprise when opened.

Here is the before, the top had damaged finish but being solid wood that is remedied.

Using my Dewalt orbital sander and 120 grit sand paper I sanded the top smooth.

A quick coat of cappuccino Homestead House's stain and finish oil was applied as I was staining this dining table top at the same time. This keep the wood sealed and the color consistent under the paint.

It is now ready to paint all lifted using my handy painters pyramids which make painting all sides easily.

I like to keep these vintage pieces classic so chose Country Chic Paint in lazy linen, a very soft grey color. It is original chalk formula not the all in one version. I was using it on this shadow box and buffet at the same time. Above is one coat.

And here is two coats, wet distressed and sealed with clear wax.

To further age the piece, Country Chic's antiquing wax was added to the edges and creases.

Perfect!
