Vintage Art Deco China Cabinet Restore

This Art Deco waterfall china cabinet, circa 1940, had seen better days. Tucked away in a shop and used as a storage shelf, it was in rough shape. A family member, inspired by a photo featuring rich navy tones and warm wood, wanted to see it brought back to life. With that vision in mind, I gave the piece the repairs and makeover it deserved — blending classic navy with warm wood to honor both its history and a fresh new style.

Yet Another Malachite Green Pepper Grinder

If you are a subscriber you know I just did two other pepper grinders in this exact color. Here is a 3rd seeing the first 2 sold within an hour of posting. This one did not last long either selling on my Etsy shop.

I have this exact pepper grinder in my own home which I painted blue and found another one to relove, yeah! A good thorough cleaning was the first step.

Then the fun part of painting. Two coats of Jolie Paint in the gorgeous color malachite were brushed on.
See the other amazing malachite projects all painted with that little tester pot.

Once dry it was lightly sanded to reveal some of the original dark stain and give a worn farmhouse feel.

The paint was sealed with Jolie's clear wax using their fabulous wax brush

Further dimension was added with Jolie's brown wax brushed in the nooks and crannies.
