This double decker wooden men's valet was completed in classic navy just in time for Father's day which is coming soon.
Men's valets are always popular items I think do to the update and the fact more men like to have storage for all their treasures.
I have painted quite a few but have yet to find a double drawer one. You can find the others HERE.
As always the first step is to give it a thorough cleaning inside and out. I have Dixie
Belle white lightening cleaner mixed in a spray bottle that I mist on and wipe well .The valet was lightly sanded with a Dixie
Belle sanding sponge to smooth the surface and give a bit of grip for the paint. Everything is wiped again with a clean damp cloth.
I chose classic navy for the exterior color to coordinate with the goldy yellow lining interior. That and you can never go wrong with navy right?
This silk paint has a built in primer and top coat making it a great one step paint. Two coats were brushed on using a Dixie
Belle French tip brush on all sides. And that is it! Done!
