Vintage Art Deco China Cabinet Restore

This Art Deco waterfall china cabinet, circa 1940, had seen better days. Tucked away in a shop and used as a storage shelf, it was in rough shape. A family member, inspired by a photo featuring rich navy tones and warm wood, wanted to see it brought back to life. With that vision in mind, I gave the piece the repairs and makeover it deserved — blending classic navy with warm wood to honor both its history and a fresh new style.

Bombay Keepsake Box in Shades of Grey

This solidly built chest is made by Bombay and was originally a tea chest that sold for $129!!

It had a few dings that were lightly sanded then all surfaces were cleaned well

I just love the size and density of this wee Fusion brush

I used it to apply Fusion Mineral Paint little lamb over the entire outside surface including the hardware careful to leave the inner edges clean and original.

A wash of Old Fashioned Milk Paint in pitch black was applied and the entire piece distressed to reveal more of the original finish thru the layers of paint.

To deepen and enrich the colors further, Fusion's black furniture wax was hand rubbed all over.

This beautiful chest is perfect to set on your coffee table with mementos like concert tickets, or healing stones or in your boudoir to catch all your sparkly jewels, or masculine enough for your man to display his watch collection.

Watch for this Bombay watch chest finished in a warm white

Heck you can even store your tea as originally used for, the options are endless!!
