Pier One to Pottery Barn Trunk Makeover

A client brought in this Pier One trunk/coffee table to be painted. They wanted the finished product to be in the style of Pottery Barn furniture. The result was just what they envisioned. Now this updated, custom painted trunk/coffee table is ready to go back home and give them years of service.

Do-over Necklace Display Frame

Here is another makeover makeover :)

I was commissioned to create this adorable necklace display rack over 7 years ago. However when the same family purchased this desk in ocean shades of blue they had me redo the frame to match.

These shades of blue are my favorite.

Step 1 remove the floral backing, wipe frame with damp rag and paint back edges first using Dixie Belle Paint in pure ocean and mermaid tail. I like the Dixie Belle's oval brush for this wide solid wood frame. I paint a solid coat of mermaid tail then using same brush dip in pure ocean and blend. My Fine Mist Spray Bottle is used for a smooth blend of colors.

Flip over and repeat the above steps.

Once dry the final step is to seal the paint using a coat of Dixie Belle satin clear coat then add age and dimension with brown Dixie Belle's best dang wax applied in groves with a dedicated Dixie Belle premium chip brush

Buff , flip back over and power staple the floral backing in place, rescrew the D hangers back on and it is ready to display the necklace collection.

It is hard to see but the necklaces hang on white cup hooks that were screwed into the board behind the black and white fabric.

And here it is above back in the little customers bedroom with her desk and wall collage.
