Vintage Art Deco China Cabinet Restore

This Art Deco waterfall china cabinet, circa 1940, had seen better days. Tucked away in a shop and used as a storage shelf, it was in rough shape. A family member, inspired by a photo featuring rich navy tones and warm wood, wanted to see it brought back to life. With that vision in mind, I gave the piece the repairs and makeover it deserved — blending classic navy with warm wood to honor both its history and a fresh new style.

Funky Candle Holder in Dixie Belle Drop Cloth

Just add paint for an immediate change up for dated pieces. In this case it was warm white "Drop Cloth" from Dixie Belle Paint

This candle holder was in need of a makeover.

Always start by cleaning your pieces well to remove past dirt and grime.

This little collection was all painted Dixie Belle drop cloth.

Two coats of drop cloth were brushed on and when dry it was lightly with a sanding sponge to distress it a bit. This was followed by a coat of Dixie Belle's best dang wax in clear to seal it all up.

Dixie Belle's sack o' wax is the perfect collection to get seeing it has smaller tins of all the best colors. I chose brown from the sac to add dimension to the candle holder.
