This little wooden tray received a second makeover for two reasons; 1- it moved to a new home that black was the decor color and 2 it had bleed thru happening after the first makeover.
I had painted this in a farmhouse white finish for a friends a few years back but the darn red stain is bleeding thru over the years and needs to be stopped.
Time to pull out the
Dixie Belle BOSS in clear. Using a chip brush I applied two coats as directed. BOSS blocks stains like this.
The updated color I chose was anchor; a rich black from
Dixie Belle silk
paint line. Two coats using a narrow chip brush were applied.
But I was not a fan, I preferred the solid color below on the other end. I showed to my friend and she agreed, no distressing so the tray was painted a 3rd time.
Silk has a built in top coat so no further steps are required, how fast is this makeover!!
And just like that this tray is ready for its new home with a new look.
