This sweet wooden jewelry box was the perfect candidate for another rose quartz pink from Jolie Paint makeover. The last jewelry box I painted in this color was sold immediately. This color was a huge hit.
Two coats were brushed on. Once dry, the whole jewelry box and edges were sanded with sanding pads from Jolie Paint to smooth and distress. To seal the paint, Jolie Paint's clear wax was brushed on with their fabulous wax brush. Dark wax was added for further dimension and aging feel to the piece.
It was a jewelry box marathon that day. Check out the completed grey and warm white jewelry boxes finished that day.
My favorite treatment for the glass on these cuties is to give it a faux mercury glass treatment. I tried a new product; Rustoleum mirror effect spray paint. I used it and vinegar spray to create my signature look.
I think it pairs well with the aged pink finish to give an authentic aged finish. How about you? I would love to hear your comments :)
