Vintage Art Deco China Cabinet Restore

This Art Deco waterfall china cabinet, circa 1940, had seen better days. Tucked away in a shop and used as a storage shelf, it was in rough shape. A family member, inspired by a photo featuring rich navy tones and warm wood, wanted to see it brought back to life. With that vision in mind, I gave the piece the repairs and makeover it deserved — blending classic navy with warm wood to honor both its history and a fresh new style.

Azure Blue Spice Rack

Spice racks are always a fun update. They can be used as a traditional spice rack but work perfect for essential oil or nail polish displays. They can also be a fun way to inject a burst of color in your home in the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom.

Find a cute little wood spice rack ...

and a skiff of leftover Fusion Mineral Paint paint and you have it made. I use every drop of my paint. This little bit in the bottom will do this rack, a matching pepper grinder and still have more left for a few more small projects.

This gorgeous color is Azure from Fusion Mineral Paint

Two coats went on for a bold fun color, shown with the pepper grinder in progress too. When two coats were dry, it was sanded to distress the edges back to the natural stained wood. Dark antiquing wax was applied with a brush to the corners and crannies to age it a bit.

And it is ready to display whatever you choose.
