Vintage High Chair in Natural Wood and Warm White

I love giving old pieces new life. This vintage wooden high chair was my latest makeover project. I am loving the end look, how about you? This solid wood cutie was found by my furniture scouting sister. I messaged the seller sight unseen I would take it. My Mom picked it up and delivered to my door. THANKS family for all your help!

Custom Painted Red Accent Chair

A customer dropped off their solid wood accent chair to be custom painted. She was thinking she wanted it in white until she saw my recently painted jewelry box in rouge

This beauty will be going in her guest room with a pretty floral bedspread that has red in it that will pop against this color.

Most chairs need some repairs, this one happened to be very wobbly. I removed the front legs and found one supporting screw was snapped in half. It was a bit tricky unscrewing the broken off piece out of the hole but I did it.

Wood glue was brushed in all the cleaned out joints and put back together, new screws were replaced and it was clamped and left to dry overnight.

Now for the fun part, the paint. Jolie Paint in rouge was brushed on using my Cling On round brush that works so well for spindle painting.

To seal it all up, all the painted surfaces were clear coated with Jolie's clear wax with their fabulous wax brush. It's angled tip fits perfectly in all the nooks and crannies.

To add dimension and an antiqued finish, Jolie black wax, again with their amazing wax brush was applied.

Then it was inspected by my Grand-dogger Lexi and passed with flying colors :)
